A very large forest scorpion (Heterometrus spinifer) gilded in pure sterling silver leaf. The scorpion was cleaned, preserved and set before being hand gilded in layers of silver leaf, the burnished to a reflective shine. Enhanced with a silver gilded rectangle, in homage to my first collection in 2020 which featured gilded circles.

Frame measures 22.5x27.5cm with free-standing hardware on the back. Glass removed for photography to avoid glare, all my work ships with the glass.
