Terms & Conditions
Returns and Refunds
Returns will only be accepted on postage damaged items, and all claims must be made within 24 hours of receiving the item. Any claim made after 24 hours is soley at the discretion of Skullpturas. All returned packages must be by Signed For postage within 7 days of confirmation that a return will be accepted – please keep proof of postage in case the item is lost by Royal Mail – I cannot be responsible for this, and will not refund packages sent unrecorded should they go missing. Postage will not be refunded. Items will only be refunded once they have been inspected and are found to be in the same condition as described at the point of refund confirmation.
For custom orders / commissions returns are not accepted unless the item is received damaged.
Please check the package before accepting it, and if it shows signs of damage refuse to sign for it. This will mean the package is returned to me and I will be able to investigate and issue a refund where apropriate. If the damaged package is accepted you will not recieve a refund for any damage to the work.
Refunds in all instances will only be issued once the item is received back.
Import taxes apply to certain countries, the buyer is responsible for paying this where applicable.
Items will be posted to the address given at checkout, so please double check before finalising payment.
I generally do one postage run per week in order to best utilise my time. If you need an order urgently please send me an email before ordering and I can advise of your options. For UK orders I use Royal Mail Second Class Signed For. International orders are sent via Royal Mail / ParcelForce Tracked.
For custom items and commissions the processing times will vary, I will advise of this when ordering and update regularly.
Second Class postage aims to arrive within 4 days but can take as long as four weeks (particularly during December), and lost item claims are not permitted before this. I am not responsible for the performance of postal services, and once an item has left my hands it is out of my control.
For items posted out of the UK, please note this may also take up to a month, and many customs can hold an item for a further 40 days without notice – all charges for this are the buyers’ responsibility. It is the buyers’ responsibility to check import laws to your country (and obtain all applicable paperwork if necessary), I will not take responsibility nor will I issue a refund should an item be confiscated or destroyed by customs. Should the item be returned to me by customs, I will refund the initial payment minus all costs incurred, and less any damage. In purchasing an item from Skullpturas you accept responsibility for importation of the item and all costs incurred – these cannot be paid by me.
For any orders in December please see the 'XMAS POST' page. I cannot refund items or postage for missed delivery dates / items taking longer than expected.
Please also take into account processing times for commissions and items made-to-order/pre-orders.
The only time Skullpturas will ever receive your direct identifiable information is if you make a purchase through this website. When you make a purchase we will record specific personal information about you - your name, postal address and email address. This is the only information we will receive and have on record. We need this information to send your order to your address and also to contact you via email when your order has been posted. This information will be emailed to us via our E-Commerce website and also via PayPal once your order has been confirmed.
Emails are retained long enough to ensure that if there are any shipping issues, they can still be investigated within Royal Mails time limit (i.e. lost parcels.) and PayPal's refund/claim limit. After this they are permanently deleted. All postage receipts containing postal address are shredded at this point also.
Skullpturas does not receive card details or payment information, as those are processed by the payment provider - in this case either PayPal or Stripe.
Our PayPal account and BigCartel account will keep your details in the database for 7 years maximum to abide by UK Tax Laws. These accounts are protected via passwords and multiple factor authentication in case of breach or usage from another device (mobile confirmation, pin-code confirmation and email confirmation).
You will receive an automated email once your order has been accepted, via our E-Commerce hosting site BigCartel. You will also receive an automated email via BigCartel with postage information once your order has been shipped. You will only receive an email directly from Skullpturas (either email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org) should we need to discuss your order further (i.e. if there is a discrepancy in your postal address) to the email address submitted with your order.
The Payment methods we use are Stripe & PayPal (to process credit cards and accept payment via PayPal). PayPal / Stripe will have access to your personal and payment information, but we never will. When paying by credit/debit card, Skullpturas does not have any access to your card details, and never will.
These services provide social buttons and similar features which we use on our website – such as the “Like” and “Tweet” buttons.
To do so we embed code that they provide and we do not control ourselves. To function their buttons generally know if you’re logged in. We do not have any access to that information, nor can we control how those networks use it. Social networks therefore could know that you’re viewing this website, if you use their services (that isn’t to say they do, but their policies may change).
Some 3rd parties such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter may know you visited our website if you came to us via a link from a Skullpturas post.
All social media accounts used for Skullpturas are protected via password and also external authentication - for example a mobile text message confirmation of usage, or a pin-code request.
BigCartel and Google Analytics collect anonymous statistics about your visit. For example what pages you view within our site, how you arrived at our site and some basic information about your demographic such as location in the world, age group, gender. All of that information is anonymous – so we don’t know who you are; just that somebody visited our site and the categories they fit in.
The information we collect from analytics helps us understand what parts of our sites are doing well, our main demographics and target audiences, how people arrive at our site and so on. Like most websites, we use this information to make our website better.
Skullpturas is hosted via the e-commerce site BigCartel - which collects data on the amount of visitors we receive, but no data on specific customers. It also collects which of our products and categories are viewed the most.
